A new approach to shower design – Eris joins the Wellness family

Wellness expands its shower tray collection with Eris. Made from Edotek, the new model allows its perimeter to be adapted directly on site, while cut and subsequently finished edges can also be left exposed. A construction detail that invites us to look beyond the surface and consider a worked edge as part of the visible design of the shower. This flexibility is complemented by the Spazzolato finish, a slim profile and a dedicated grid, completing the distinctive character of Eris. With this new addition, the Wellness family now includes nine shower trays – differing in materials, finishes and customisation options – designed to complement furnishing choices and create continuity throughout the bathroom project.

Shower tray geometry, from design to installation

When defining the geometry of the shower, a recess or diagonal cut can respond just as effectively to spatial constraints as to a compositional choice. The full-thickness structure of Eris allows adjustments to be made on site, within the cutting areas specified for each size in the technical data sheet. Worked edges can remain exposed and are finished using the surface scratch repair kit, which is also recommended for this operation. The advantage lies in being able to adapt the shower tray without limiting cuts to edges positioned against a wall. The perimeter therefore becomes an element that can be worked on to resolve junctions and alignments, while maintaining a carefully finished exposed edge.

Surface, thickness and details

The Spazzolato finish and a height of 2.3 cm, without an edge, define the appearance of Eris, combining a subtly textured surface with a slim profile. The shower tray is available in square and rectangular sizes, in Bianco and in the Edoné colours from colour chart no. 51, excluding Metal and Dust. The grid features a design dedicated specifically to this model and is supplied in stainless steel or, as an optional extra, in a matching colour, allowing the detail either to stand out or blend into the surface.

Alongside the choice of proportions and finishes are the characteristics of Edotek, a material composed of natural mineral fillers and resins with a gelcoat surface coating. Its non-porous surface is easy to maintain and can be restored using the dedicated repair kits, an important consideration for maintaining the product over time.

Eris within the coordinated bathroom project

The common thread remains the coordinated bathroom project, the principle at the heart of Wellness and one that extends to Eris. The Edoné colour range shared with the wall coverings makes it possible to continue the shade of the shower tray onto the walls, creating visual continuity from horizontal to vertical surfaces. The Spazzolato finish can therefore be combined with Ardesia, Cemento or Liscio, working with a shared colour palette while exploring the different character of each texture. Coordination also extends to the furnishing collections – for example, by echoing the colour of the bathroom furniture across the shower surfaces – bringing different elements together within the same composition. With Eris, the range of choices expands while preserving an overall vision in which the shower tray, wall coverings and furniture are conceived as parts of a single project.

Wellness shower trays – navigating the range

Alongside Eris, the collection offers models with clearly defined characteristics. Giove combines Ardesia or Cemento with a square grid, with sizes up to 250 cm and an angular version. Urano pairs the Spazzolato finish with a rectangular grid and has a height of 2 cm without an edge. Marte features Ardesia with a rectangular textured drain cover in a matching colour, while Terra opts for Liscio, with a coordinated round drain cover and an optional edge. Nettuno features Ardesia in six neutral shades, with a square grid. Mercurio is made from Solid, available in Bianco or Grit Stone, with a smooth surface and rectangular drain cover in the same finish. Venere shares the same material and finishes, but features a round drain cover and the option of a perimeter edge. Saturno extends customisation to the design of the shower tray itself – shape, dimensions and type of drain cover – and is made from Solid in Bianco or Grit Stone, subject to a feasibility assessment.
