We are in the United States, specifically in Cincinnati, Ohio, just steps from the picturesque and historic Findlay Market and the brand-new TQL Soccer Stadium.
In this dynamic and promising area, an open space occupying the fourth floor of a historic building has been converted for residential use.
The redesign of this 300-square-meter open-plan loft's spaces and furnishings has created a modern, ultra-functional apartment capable of delineating distinct areas while maintaining a continuous 360° view of the surroundings. The abundant natural light from the large windows placed along the entire perimeter is enhanced, while strategic privacy is ensured through an interesting interplay of central volumes and small partitions, creating an intriguing see-through effect that connects all areas of the home.
The solution chosen for the master bathroom is particularly evocative, offering the sensation of looking directly onto nature from the fourth floor of a downtown building, thanks to panoramic views of the surrounding greenery. Ample surfaces, essential lines, and clear volumes form an oasis of tranquility, filled with natural light, providing a serene space for personal relaxation, just steps away from the bustling outside world.
The loft project was overseen by Agostino Fede, owner and founder of NOLI. His profound passion for modern Italian design led him to establish NOLI design studio in Cincinnati in 2016. The studio quickly became a reference point for those seeking beautiful, exclusive furnishing solutions that uniquely combine functionality with aesthetic research, embodying the essence of Italian style. Collaborations with local architects and qualified installers underpin every solution proposed by NOLI.
The pleasure of living spaces, comfort, and high-quality materials aimed at timeless beauty, expression of the finest Italian design concepts, distinguish each custom solution created by NOLI, carefully tailored to individual client tastes and needs.
We had the pleasure of asking Agostino Fede his thoughts on Edoné bathroom furniture.
Among the various market options, what led you to prefer this Edoné solution?
Let me first emphasize that the entire offering of brands proposed by NOLI results from careful upfront selection: we exclusively provide our clients with authentic, high-quality Made-in-Italy products. With that said, the highly textured wood finish combined with the marble-effect top with integrated washbasin perfectly encapsulated everything we were looking for: clean design, functional spaces, noble materials rooted in Italy’s long artisanal tradition, yet reinterpreted in a modern key. Precisely the blend of exclusivity, style, and practical use that this project demanded.
Was there a specific requirement during the project for which Edoné’s extensive customization options were strategic and useful?
Edoné's capacity for versatile design solutions is always strategic, not only in this project. We chose Edoné as the go-to brand for our bathroom furnishing solutions because we know we can rely on bespoke solutions covering comprehensive systems, suitable both for smaller bathrooms and expansive spaces. Having such a reliable brand backing us allows us to approach any client request with great confidence.
How did you discover our Brand?
Interestingly, another Italian company recommended you! They operate in the kitchen furnishing sector, and we had already been collaborating for some time. A recommendation from someone who fully understands your vision of work, quality, and reliability is incredibly valuable. We were already aware of you, but this pushed us to accelerate our plans, leading us to meet face-to-face at CERSAIE for the first time. The rest is history! As mentioned earlier, our showroom exclusively offers genuine Made-in-Italy and high-quality brands, and proposing brands that mutually respect one another further enhances the positive experience for those who choose to rely on NOLI.
What is your favorite detail among the Edoné solutions you’ve used?
Undoubtedly, the design and the thermo-treated Larch finish of the furniture, along with the marble-effect Laminam top with integrated washbasin. It’s a modern reinterpretation of those magnificent ancient stone or marble washbasins found in noble Italian villas and many countryside areas. At least, that's the parallelism it evokes for me. The monolithic aspect of the furniture’s top and the perfect union with the wooden finishes of the sides and drawers are stunning. Elegance, history, modernity: how can one not love Made-in-Italy? Knowing that we've brought it into an open space on the fourth floor of an industrial building in downtown Cincinnati gives me immense satisfaction.
