Architectural iconicity and tailored customization in Pordenone

A residence designed around the archetype of living, where a harmonious dialogue between light and material defines every detail.

Topic: Inspirations

Residenza AG, located in Pordenone, is a residential project designed by architect Federica Depari, characterized by a clear and rigorous identity. The structure is articulated through three well-defined volumes: the main one, characterized by a pitched roof and cladding in embossed standing seam sheet metal, becomes a landmark of great visual impact. On its sides are grafted secondary volumes with a flat roof, which complete the compositional design.

The material becomes the absolute protagonist, with a rigorous selection of three key materials: wood, metal and porcelain stoneware. Wood creates warm and intimate environments, metal precisely defines architectural lines and rhythms, while stoneware introduces a technical elegance, linked to stone and functionality.

Light plays a fundamental role, treated as a design element in its own right, with windows and doors designed like pictures to frame glimpses of the landscape. The perfect balance between natural and artificial light enhances the purity of the lines and the essentiality of the composition.

A project by Federica Depari Architetto

Federica Depari, who specializes in architecture and interior design, graduated from the IUAV University of Venice with a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Milan, completing her education with a year of Erasmus at the École Nationale d’Architecture Paris Val de Seine. After some experience in various studios in Friuli Venezia Giulia, Federica decided to set up her own studio, Federica Depari Architetto, with the aim of freely expressing herself and maturing her own architectural style through constant design experimentation, project after project, building site after building site.

She currently runs her own studio, dedicating herself to residential and commercial projects, from new constructions to renovations, with a focus on customized furnishings and personalized spaces. Her spontaneous interest in materiality enhanced by light, combined with collaborations developed with design companies, reflects her ability to integrate different disciplines in the design process, creating environments that harmoniously meet aesthetic and functional requirements.

Federica likes to define herself as a designer strongly rooted in the reality of the building site, a place where she spends a lot of time every day to learn in the field and to deeply understand the concrete realization of architecture. It is precisely on-site that her projects gain those distinctive details that make them unique, as if suggested by the site itself.

Residenza AG in Pordenone is a clear example of her design philosophy, where the skillful use of materials such as wood, metal, and porcelain stoneware, combined with thoughtful lighting design, creates a refined, harmonious, and welcoming environment.

A chat about Edoné with Federica Depari

What convinced you to choose Edoné among other market solutions?
Edoné stood out primarily for its perfect blend of functional reliability and aesthetic refinement. During the design process, it was essential to have products of high construction quality and long-lasting durability, combined with substantial freedom in customization regarding finishes and forms. The broad and trend-conscious selection offered by Edoné was crucial in achieving refined bathroom environments, seamlessly integrated into the overall architectural vision.

Was Edoné’s customization particularly strategic in this project?
Absolutely. Edoné’s capacity to customize every detail was a deciding factor in my decision to collaborate with them. Their flexibility in dimensions, extensive variety in materials and finishes, coupled with their team’s responsiveness to specific project needs, proved invaluable. This high degree of customization enabled a cohesive and high-level aesthetic outcome, perfectly addressing the unique requirements of the spaces within Residenza AG.

What is your favorite detail among the Edoné solutions used?
I was particularly impressed by the elegance and material quality of the Calipso Rovere unit, adding a sophisticated touch to the main bathroom. Additionally, the vibrant color and functionality of the Giunone unit in Blu Balena perfectly matched the playful and welcoming atmosphere intended for the children’s bathroom. Finally, the Apollo unit, with its essential design and Cheope-textured finish in Camoscio lacquer, provided an impeccable detail, enhancing the guest bathroom with understated elegance.

How did you come to know Edoné?
I initially discovered Edoné while browsing through a catalog presented to me during a previous professional experience. Immediately impressed by the style and quality of their solutions, I subsequently deepened my knowledge through detailed online research, captivated by the wide range of customization options and the elegance of their finishes. This positive initial experience led me to choose Edoné for the creation of my home’s bathroom furniture, customized specifically to match the color of my parquet flooring, and further confirmed my choice for subsequent projects.
